4th grade kicks off the year learning how to draw  Native Plants from visual references, using contour lines and visual texture. We developed our drawings in 3 stages...

If the Dinosaurs Came Back

2nd graders made me jealous today!
We had some fun with our imaginations in these Line drawings inspired by the book,
"If the Dinosaurs Came Back" by Gerard Most. This book was read to me by my Mom when I was a kid and to this day, I am still fascinated by dinosaurs. Who isn't!

Fun With Ferns

Check out these beautifully drawn ferns done by 3rd graders. Focusing on concepts including visual texture, implied line and outline, 3rd graders rendered ferns with a personal artistic touch in each and every one of them. !

Anansi the Spider

2nd Grade enjoyed listening to the story, Anansi the Spider. Paying close attention to Gerald McDermott's great illustrations including various line designs, shapes and patterns, students drew a spider web.
