I kicked off the school year with a Line lesson on Baroque art. I showed the class visuals of the art and architecture of this time period, and emphasized how ornamented, decorative and extravagant the art of this time period was. Then, the students experimented with "kinds of line", implied line, visual texture, shape, and pattern to decorate their birds. Below are some examples of great work!
