This is a great, fun, creative project that can be introduced by showing slides of praying mantises, and other strikingly featured bugs from around the world. Using Crayola air dry molding clay, students formed the body of their bug and then stuck in pipe cleaners, beads and feathers to emulate antennae, wings, eyes, etc. Cute and fun!
