My Special Day class did a great job looking at the contours of Fall leaves I brought for them for a contour lesson.We started with a blind contour (scroll down), which are so amazingly close to the real shape of a Maple leaf!
We then wrote names of the different leaves I brought for them: Maple, Grape Leaf, Camphor, and Chestnut. They drew the external contour of one leaf at a time, then added the interior contours, paying close attention to small details. We then watercolored! Super fun :)
