Children had fun cutting asymmetrical faces, goofy teeth and eyes. We started with some step-by-step instruction but the artist in each child came out with their artistic touch.
I brought a book about Picasso's cubist paintings and showed the children what a Cubist portrait looks like. I explained briefly that the cubist artists reduced forms into basic geometric parts on the 2-dimensional picture plane. (In layman's terms).
All had a lot of fun and we are very happy.
Thank you KAREN WILLIAM'S :) for the delicious cupcakes!
