First day of Spring Session Art Club @ LRD we innovated our names in fancy lettering inspired by Keith Haring's art. The class had fun posing for each other as we all got creative with drawing our "people letters".
Keith Haring is one of my favorite artists to teach and do with a group of kids. Super easy. You just use markers and kids can pose to help each other draw proportions correctly. Initially, the project was NOT to draw your name using the human figure but to make a "Keith Haring tower" of human figures just like his graffiti. This group, however, was super creative and decided to write their names with human figure creations. Cool!
We did this activity as an ice-creaked for the new art session.
